Development of the South African National Clinical Trials Register is a collaborative initiative between industry, government and researchers.  The Register has been developed by the Department of Health in partnership with the Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Ltd.  Funding for technical assistance has also been received from Cooperazione Italiana.
